Socialization is crucial for proper development. Your puppy needs to learn how to interact with other dogs, people and new objects. The more time you spend with your puppy learning new things, the better adjusted they will be when older. Puppies need to play, touch, and learn propper doggie behavior. We can not expect them to know how to behave, they grow and learn from constant training thoughout their lifetime!
Puppies are always being trained, whether you think you're training them or not! So be aware of what you are training at all times. Even if a puppy knows "sit" at home, can't be expected to know this at the hospital, it's different, more distractions, smells, cats, etc.
Cristy uses reward based training methods, with treats and lots of praise. Cristy teaches you, the owners, how dogs learn and how to use this understanding to prevent (or end) problems behavior and to promote (reinforce) good behaviors.
Classes are structured so you can join class at any time and continue until your 6 sessions are finished. Each class has a similar structure, when entering the classroom we release the puppies so they can meet and greet the other pups. During play time (which may last the entire hour), Cristy will answer any of your questions reguarding all puppy behavior. If and when the puppies slow down, we have simple jumps, tunnels and weave polls that can be used.
Cristy's goals:
-To have happy owners, who enjoy their puppy.
-Puppies who enjoy comming to AAAH!
-Owners to have a better feel for normal puppy behavior.
-Tips and tricks to use with your puppy.
-To send you home with an extremely tired puppy!
